Junior Church  Sunday School   Youth Service Projects     Kids have FUN   VBS

The Mt Eden Youth Program, which starts at age 0 and goes to age 17. is one of helping the child to develop a strong foundation in the Word of God through Bible stories, object lessons, games, group trips, and snacks!  One child asked, "Do we always have a snack?" My answer is, "Yes, I want to make sure you are spiritually and physically fed!"

On Sundays, we offer Sunday School classes for youth starting at 10:00 am. Then at 11 am. our youth join everyone in the main church building for Sunday worship service. About halfway through the service, our youth are dismissed to have "Junior Church" in the fellowship building next door.

We feel it is important for the youth to have their own worship service experience yet also have the opportunity to learn by worshipping with all ages in a "BIG" church. A nursery for children under the age of 3 is staffed and available during the 11 am worship service each Sunday.

During the year, the children are invited to participate in day trips such as movies, mini-golf, bowling, etc. One of the highlights of the youth calendar each year is Vacation Bible School. At Mt. Eden, we have a 5-6 night VBS in late July. Each year, we have a great turnout with the kids learning a lot about Jesus as well as raising a lot of money for a missionary!

Through our support of Faith Christian Camp, just outside of London, KY, our children are given the chance to attend a week of church camp with other children in their age group. Each year, we send 25-30 youth to several weeks of camp. For five straight years (2015-2019), Mt. Eden has taken on the bulk of staffing and direction for the First Chance Camp (kindergarten through 3rd graders).

In 2020, after much thought and prayer, we began a new, once-a-month service just for our young people following our Sunday morning worship service. This new service is called "Aftershock" and it is for youth ages 3 years old and up. After the 11 am service, the youth stay for lunch followed by music, activities, and a message.

These are exciting times at Mt. Eden!
