Elders & Deacons
Elders and deacons lead the Mt. Eden Christian Church. Men fill both offices. They are selected by nominations from the congregation and voted upon by the active members of the church at an annual congregational meeting held on the last Sunday of October.
The elders are in charge of the communion table, approving all teaching materials, visiting, praying for, and calling on church members, and they are charged to work for the general welfare of the church. Deacons are to assist the elders in carrying out the church's mission.
Elders serving in 2025 in the following roles: Chairman: Wayne Brumfield; Vice Chairman: Gary Sorrell; and Kenny Webster.
Deacons serving in 2025 are Larry Dixon, Steve Gilliam, Ron McFadden, Bill Mitchuson, Keith Morris, Jed Morris, Scott Sorrell, Clarence Stafford, Hubert Stafford, and Mike Stevens.
